Different students respond to different ways of learning, whether it’s through repetition, aural or visual cues, or hands-on experiences. Using the arts to teach various subjects – such as literature, science, history – provides creative tools for learning that may help students grasp and retain information they wouldn’t understand in other terms. In short, learning comes to life on stage.
Stages of Discovery presents multiple opportunities for learning from pre-school through 8th grade. Each of our school matinees has been carefully selected to complement curriculum standards. Show-specific Study Guides include lessons and activities for use in the classroom. Curtain Calls offer related learning opportunities with educational partners. Classroom Visits help your students prepare for their trip to the theatre. And, valuable Transportation Scholarships make it all more affordable!
Visit all three of our venues. Each delivers a unique theatre experience for your students: the intimate and contemporary baby grand (305 seats), the elegant and historic Copeland Hall at The Grand (1,188 seats), and the illustrious Playhouse on Rodney Square (1,252 seats).
